This Saturday, Lyon and Saint-Etienne will dispute the 101st derby… Saint-Etienne are still in front as far as the number of victories is concerned…

39 victories for Saint-Etienne: 34 in D1/L1 including 23 at Geoffroy-Guichard, the first in 1951-52 was won by Alpstag (1-0) ; 2 in D2 ; 1 in the Coupe de France ; 1 in the Coupe Drago and 1 in the Champions Trophy.

30 victories for Lyon: 26 in D1/L1 including 8 at Geoffroy-Guichard, lthe first dates back to the 2nd of  October 1955 thanks to a goal from Ninel (1-0) ; 1 success in the D2 at Gerland ; 3 victories in the Coupe de France including 2 at Gerland and 1 at Annecy.

31 draws: 29 in D1/L1 including 13 at Geoffroy-Guichard, the first dates back to the 57-58 season with a goal from Cossou (1-1) ; 1 draw in the D2 at Gerland ; 1 draw in  the Coupe de France at Gerland with a a qualification for Lyon.

138 goals scored by Saint-Etienne and 108 by OL.

The Derby has been played 11 times in the month of February. OL have won 3 times taking into account the qualification in the Coupe de France on penalties; there have been 2 draws and 6 victories for Saint-Etienne. OL have never won at St-Etienne in February.
