A day of relaxation for the OL squad… spent recuperating… at the beach… playing bowls and with the family…

After the traditional festive evening at Moroccan restaurant The Salama, the Olympiens spent the morning as they wished before heading for the Pamplona Beach for lunch with the family. The OL women’s team, recently crowned champions of France, joined their male counterparts on Monday.

Then they returned to the centre of town and the Lices plaza for a game of bowls with the notable participation of the Mayor of Lyon, of OL President Jean-Michel Aulas and Bernard Lacombe… The goalkeeping trio of Aubour-Bats-Coupet didn’t last long in the competition but the trio of Vercoutre, Govou and Squillaci displayed a lot of skill and enjoyment. Naturally, the many spectators hunted for autographs and photo opportunities with vigour.

After the sport, the whole squad met up for dinner at the Café des Arts. On Tuesday, they will all head back the capital of the Gauls for to prepare for their 54th match of the season, Nantes, who will be bidding L1 farewell, at Gerland. Another celebration for OL, this time to be shared with its fans at home.
