OL are ranked eleventh after 12 matches and are 5 points behind the leaders Brest ... But since the match lost against Saint-Etienne...

Since the famous derby against the “Verts”, OL have played 5 league matches without defeat, for 3 successes and 2 draws. OL have taken 11 of their 16 points in their last 5 games. On the evening of the derby, OL were in the relegation zone, in 18th place 11 points behind the leaders Saint-Etienne.

Since this Week 7, OL have hauled back points on all teams. This means that the seven-time champions of France have had the best run of these last 5 days with 11 points. They are ahead of Brest 10, AJA 10, 9 Lorient, PSG 8, Bordeaux 8, VA 8, Lens 8 ... As for OM and Rennes who will meet in their game in hand, they can do better than the OL during the last 5 days. OM can total 7.8 or 10 points, Rennes 5.6 or 8.

OL are definitely in an upward spiral in terms of points. They are taking advantage of their 11 points from 15, but also the general turn of events which has brought a lot of teams to within a few points of each other. There is an 8-point gap between the leader and the team in 19th position! OL are 5 points behind the leader, 2 from the podium ... and only 6 from the relegation zone. This championship is really weird!
