Christian Bassila gave his analysis of the match between Bastia and Lyon.

"This victory was crucial for OL's confidence. They were effective and both the players and staff are to be congratulated. They showed that OL cannot be counted out this season. The lads got back to basics and lifted the level of their game, controlling the match. It was promising and this win does the club a lot of good and it will help the players recover ahead of the weekend clash with Bordeaux, where they will be looking to confirm this result. The interplay among the three attackers showed a lot of promise. We saw that the duo of Lacazette-Kalulu can be an option in future. Sergi Darder was astonishing tonight. He's very intelligent and knows how to adapt to the particularities of a match. He brings his excellent technique to bear in the service of his teammates. You can feel a lot of maturity in his game. Bordeaux will be looking to prove that their 6-1 loss in Nice was an accident. They'll be very motivated and OL will need to prepare well."

The running point in the match? The red card just before half-time. Samuel Umtiti copped an elbow off the ball as Bastia were moving into Lyon's half.
