Olympique Lyonnais were in merciless mood as they swept aside Rodez 7-0 at the Stade de Gerland on Sunday.
Following a slow start to proceedings, Les Lyonnaises made the breakthrough from a set piece as Louisa Necib rifled the ball into the roof of the net (1-0, 29e). Lara Dickenmann and Shirley Cruz then found the woodwork as Rodez held on. It was Lotta Schelin who finally doubled OL's lead with a header, just before the break, after Sonia Bompastor cross (2-0, 43').
After the pause, the five-time French champions stepped on the accelerator thanks to goals from Elodie Thomis (62', 85'), Camille Abily (65', 90'+2) and Eugénie Le Sommer (90').
OL Women still trail league leaders Juvisy, who beat PSG 1-0, by one point, and lead Montpellier, who ran out 4-0 winners over ASSE, by one point.
