After Tuesday's training session, Lyon's Brazilian midfielder Ederson popped into the media room to talk about his current form, the Lyon squad... Rennes and... Ajax...

How do you feel since you returned from injury?

"I'm feeling better and better. My confidence is returning. I'm pretty satisfied. I was very happy to start the game against Saint-Etienne and we played well. The Brazil national team? That's still an objective. But that comes from playing well for my club. I've been watching the national team's most recent matches."

Can we say that the next two Lyon matches are crucial?

"Yes. They're two very important matches. First up is Rennes and we need to win back the points we dropped on the road. It will be very important to take all three points against an excellent team. We preparing well, despite being without our international players. And after that game, there's the visit of Ajax Amsterdam where we need to win to keep our Champions League qualification hopes alive. In the Champions League, we've got two big finals coming up."

Was the Real defeat at the Stade Gerland a big blow to OL's home confidence?

"No, we're still confident. We know we can count on our public to support us at home. The game we lost at home to Real was especially tough in the first half, but the second half was much better. The defeat didn't affect the confidence. This season, we're enjoying a great home run."

Lisandro is back training...

"We're all delighted that he's back. We need to help him back to his best and then he will be a huge boost to the squad. 'Licha' is a warrior. He will add his qualities as a finisher... his movement... OL has plenty of quality players. When the squad is 100 per cent, we'll be a very good side."

Has the team recharged the batteries during the international break?

"We're recharging. I think we'll get starting again on the right foot. We feel very good physically. We need to keep doing what we've been going well and keep improving away from home. We're confident in what we're doing and in work the coaching staff are proposing."

What do you think about this Stade Rennais side?

"We know they're a good team that plays good football. I know the coach very well and I know how he prepares a team when they're taking on a bigger team. He's very capable of 'getting the best out of his players'."

What are the club's objectives this season?

"To finish on the podium and, why not be part of the final sprint finish for a trophy. OL should always be an ambitious club."
