Gent and Zenith both drew at the weekend while Valencia claimed hteir first victory of the season.

Gent continue to progress in baby steps this season. Held 1-1 away to Zulte-Waregem, the Belgian side conceded their third successive draw. Benito Raman scored his side's goal. Gent, still unbeaten after seven rounds, are ninth in the Belgian league standings, five points shy of leaders Ostende.

Zenith didn't come away empty-handed from their trip to take on Russian league leaders CSKA Moscow, goals from Hulk and Smolnikov cliching a 2-2 draw in the capital. The result keeps Zenith in the top three, six points short of CSKA.

Valencia claimed their first win of the season in the Spanish league. After draws in their first two outings, they won out 1-0 in Gijon thanks to a goal from Paco Alcacer at the death. Valencia sit seventh in La Liga after three rounds.
