France and Germany played out a 3-3 draw in their friendly in Strasbourg on Wednesday night.

France's Women's team came close to pulling off a sweet result against Germany in their friendly on Wednesday night.

After falling behind early to Bianca Schmidt's opener (12'), Les Bleues managed to go into the break a goal up thanks to a double from Louisa Necib (14', 22'). Marie-Laure Delie (53') took the score to 3-1 early in the second, but the Germans managed to fight back at the end of the match and a brace from Nadine Kessler (67', 81') levelled the score. The German striker could even have pinched it for her side but saw another of her shots crash off the bar in stoppage time.

No fewer than seven members of the OL Women's team started the match: Bouhaddi, Georges, Renard, Franco, Abily, Necib and Le Sommer. Thomis and Tonazzi came on as substitutes. Deville took no part in the match.
