Gonalons, Le Bleu

OL midfielder Maxime Gonalons earned his first senior international cap for Les Bleus on Friday, joining an illustrious group of OL academy graduates to have gone all the way to the national team...

 

There is already an impressive list of players that have come through the youth ranks at OL and gone all the way to Les Bleus: Aubour, Chauveau, Lacombe, Di Nallo,  Benzema, Ben Arfa, R. Domenech, Garde, Chiesa, Maurice, N’Gotty, Govou, Clerc, Bréchet, J. Djorkaeff… and now Maxime Gonalons can add his name to the pile after his second-half substitute appearance for Les Bleus, against the USA on Friday.

Other Olympians have also played for France while playing their club football at OL, such as Dhorasoo, Combin, Lloris, Toulalan, Réveillère, Luyidunla, A. Rambert, Malouda, Mariot, Gava, Coupet, Abidal, Lerond, Tigana, Xuereb, Marlet…
