Grégory Coupet will not another competitive match until 2008, announced the Lyon goalkeeper at training on Thursday. The shotstopper also talked about OL's qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League.

"Along with the coach, I've decided to take it easy until the end of the year, out of respect for the squad, but also for myself,"he said. "I'm still not ready to fight for my place in the starting line-up. I need to rediscover my best form, my speed. I've got a little way to go and to get my confidence back. I have to be able to play without any doubts, without thinking about my knee. I'll keep working and I'll be back in January for a big second half of the season, starting from scratch. There's no rush. If there was a problem and I had to be rushed back then that would be different, but Rémy is doing a great job. I'm making the most of the extra time to keep working to get back to my best, even if I do miss the pressure of the big games. I can't wait to get back to top form. At the moment I'm not 100 per cent, more like 70 per cent."
