In need of these three points!

Published on the 13 November 2010 à 18:01 by R.B

Lyon, undefeated in 5 games, have the opportunity to add to their points total at home to a Nice side in less than great form on the road... and therefore head back up the table...

When we ask Hugo Lloris for his analysis on the championship of France, he replies: "it is getting into its stride. All the better for us, because with our poor start to the season (5 points in 7 games) if a team had pulled away, we would already have been ten points behind after just 12 matches, everything is still possible... " Indeed, a leader with an average of 1.83 points taken per match, it is not very serious! This ratio is 2.54 in Germany, 2.5 in Spain, 2.27 in England, 2, 1 in Italy. Logical averages...

So much the better for Cris and his teammates who were able to work in training this week, hard work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Will this return to a match per week and a great deal of preparation work be beneficial to Lyon? Hopefully. Not yet this season have they had an easy match. Always fighting, for whatever the reasons, eats energy, removes the serenity, especially when results do not arrive and you're not in your place in the standings.

It is needless to say that OL needs the three points against Nice. And if they could take them without putting themselves in danger, without doubt, it would make a lovely evening. The Eaglets share the same points total as the Olympians without having the same objectives. Above all they want to avoid a scare in the standings as was the case last season. They also know they can pull of exploits with the squad that they have. Unfortunately on Sunday, Eric Roy will be deprived of his regular central defensive pairing. The former Lyon players, Mounier and Clerc, will want to shine against their old club. Mounier, implicated in 73% of Nice’s goals, knows that his team failed to score in the last 4 away matches which explains the meagre point brought home from the Parc des Princes against PSG.

If Eric Roy has concerns regarding the centre of his defence, Claude Puel still has a problem with his left flank. The solution? It could be called Kolo ... He is stil without Lisandro, Delgado, Ederson. There is the problem of Makoun at home. Grenier is in the treatment room and Brilland still from blow to his buttocks picked up against Rennes. The Olympian squad nevertheless allows him to still have the choice of certain weapons to take all three expected points... on the occasion of his 400th game as manager.
