A decisive goalscorer against Brest last Saturday, the Cameroon international spoke to the press this Tuesday. He did not hold back when speaking about his personal situation.

How did you welcome the announcement of the transfer of Yoann Gourcuff to OL?
One can only be happy that such a player is joining us. We cannot wait for him to arrive and we hope that he will be with us on Saturday for the trip to Lorient. He went through pre-season with Bordeaux and played a few games already. This will increase competition but we know that Yoann will bring a lot to the team. Everyone knows his qualities and his technical precision from free-kicks.

The transfer window is getting carried away now, will you still be at Lyon on September 1st?
We are heading into the home straight of the transfer window and a lot can happen during this last week. The only thing I am certain is that while I am here, I am 100% focused on OL. Then, whatever happens, everyone has to benefit. Finally, concerning the whistles of the public, I'm not here to complain. Many people worry about me, they can rest assured, nobody will stop me from doing my job and staying in my place.

How do you explain this fairly weak start to the season by OL?
Everyone knows that many players from the squad had their pre-season preparations disrupted by a late return and in addition we have not been spared by injuries. Against Brest, we showed two faces, we must remember our good first half hour. After that, we must not forget also that we had a lot of trouble finishing the game. It would be ideal to get another victory this weekend in Lorient even though we know that it is never simple to win there. We will also have to get used to the synthetic turf and take this element into account.
