Via the Lyon press officer, Pierre Bideau, club president Jean-Michel Aulas commented on his side's 3-0 defeat to Glasgow Rangers on Tuesday: "It was a bad loss for OL, that made our qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League very difficult, but not impossible. We must now take maximum points from our next four games. If we finish third in the group, the UEFA Cup will still provide a good challenge for the club, for the future. And we haven't forgotten that the current situation is intrinsically linked to our injuriy woes."

The Lyon chief, who met with Bernard Lacombe and Alain Perrin at midday on Wednesday to study the situation, stated: "There is no crisis, just a little soul searching. We have made some decisions already. Starting with some one-on-one meetings with staff and players in order to emerge from our current problems."
