In Kiev, the Brazilian master made the winning breakthrough by scoring a free-kick and then laying on another...

He had already scored one free-kick this season against Troyes and he added a second against Dynamo. His tally now stands at 29 (including a free-kick against Ajaccio at Gerland): 19 at the Stade Gerland and ten away. He has also scored 69 goals for Lyon including 12 in European competition, all coming in the Champions League. He’s now only four goals short of Sonny Anderson: 16 goals scored in the Champions League and the UEFA Cup. And don’t forget that Juninho didn’t score a single European goal in his first two seasons at Lyon.

29 free-kicks and nine penalties, or 38 of his 69 goals. He has also missed three penalties in his career: Nantes, Real Madrid and Saint-Etienne. In the Champions League, he has scored goals against: Olympiakos x 2, Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen, Real Madrid, Dynamo Kiev... and penalties against Anderlecht and Celtic...When Juni has scored a free-kick, OL have never lost. However he has twice scored penalties (v Lille and Rennes) and finished on the losing side.

Since the start of the 2006-2007 season, Juninho has scored four goals and delivered 6 assists.
