OL's Japanese star defender Saki Kumagai has qualified for the quarter-finals of the Women's World Cup courtesy of a 2-1 victory over the Netherlands in the last-16.
The defending world champions are continuing on their merry way. World Cup winners in 2011, Japan's dream of successfully defending their title is alive and well, after their 2-1 victory over the Netherlands on Tuesday. The Japan defence, marshalled by Saki Kumagai, has only conceded two goals since the start of the competition, and one of those came deep in stoppage time overnight. The Lyon star is now the only non-French OL player still involved in the World Cup.
