Saturday’s Week 26 match will be the 38th league meeting between these two sides at the Stade Félix-Bollaert.

The first clash was way back in the 1951/52 season: Lens won 4-2. It wasn’t until seven years later that Lyon won away to Lens in the 1960/61 season: Lyon won 1-0.

In 1999/2000: one of the highest scoring matches between the two teams finished 4-3. Sonny Anderson got two and Serge Blanc scored for OL. But in 1957/58 the match finished 4-4, eight goals in 90 minutes.
