Let's focus on ourselves...

PSG won... Lyon could have done better... it was a summit clash that saw PSG climb a little higher... what happened...

Obviously the result has left a few regrets with those unmissable chances for Gomis when it was still scoreless, and then trailing 1-0… defensive errors on both Paris goals… the overall feeling is that PSG weren’t that much better than Lyon, apart from the exceptional Pastore. Obviously the absence of some major players in the OL ranks weighed heavily… but there’s no point crying over spilt milk: PSG are three points clear of OL atop the table…

Is this the pattern for the rest of the season, or just a one-off match? It’s tempting to say that OL would struggle to compete over the long term without Lisandro, for example. We’re tempted to say that PSG’s current success is thanks almost exclusively to their Argentine, even if the Uruguayan Lugano showed his warrior qualities at the back. We’re tempted to say that OL’s supporters are so desperate for silverware that they will carry the side forwards. But we’re also tempted to say it’s not just about PSG and OL. One mustn’t forget about LOSC…

Sunday’s win for Paris Saint-Germain does show who’s on top at present. Let’s not consume ourselves worrying about Kombouaré’s nouveau riche squad. Let’s focus on Garde’s charges getting back to work ahead of the next match against Nancy. Unfortunately, KK and Lovren will be suspended… Mr. Lannoy will be referee in his own, inimitable style. October is another important month with the trip to Real Madrid, before getting back on the road to Lille... as well as the two derbies!  October may reveal a whole new trend, with a different outcome, to that of September…
