The Louis II Stadium is the only L1 ground where OL have not won since the 2001-2002 season (Valenciennes not included ; & OL won at Caen in the Coupe de la Ligue). The last Lyon victory dates back to the 2000-2001 season and a 2 - 0 scoreline (Laigle & Marlet). Govou & Coupet were part of the first team for the game.

Since then, OL have suffered 2 - 1 (Bierhoff, Nonda ; OG), 2 - 0 (Prso, Nonda), 3 - 0 (Giuly x 2, Morientes), 2 -1 (Chevanton, Di Vaio ; Carew) and 1 - 0 (Menez) defeats. Also a 4 - 1 defeat in the French Cup during the 2003-2004 season (Morientes x 3, Prso ; Elber).

During the 2005-2006 season, Lyon managed to grind out a 1 - 1 draw fiishing the game with only 10 men as Essien was sent off in the 65th minute (Rodriguez & Clément were the scorers).

Juninho has not scored the slightest goal on this pitch.
