Not on holidays yet!

Olympique Lyonnais need to stay right on top of their current form and bring back a maximum six points before year's end... Promoted Evian-TG have proved no pushovers so far this season, even if they're still searching for a first away win...

The train stations, the roads and the airports are overflowing with holiday-makers... The snow, fire place... a few days off for Christmas... the presents are ready or it's a last-minute rush... It's such a special time of the year... But Ligue 1's footballers aren't strapping on the skis just yet! They've still got two more matches, including a last for the year at the Stade Gerland for OL...

Cris and Co. found out that they're playing Apoel  Nicosia in the last-16 of the Champions League, but before late February, they have to tackle Evian-TG, a promoted side doing brilliantly in their first ever L1 season. With the likes of Barbosa, Sorlin, Govou, Leroy, Poulsen… and some new faces, Bernard Casoni's team has all it takes to stay in the top flight... perhaps even more. "A very tough team," acknowledged Rémi Garde, wary of this side that has picked up six draws from nine road trips, even if they still haven't won one. "This squad's biggest strength is the great atmosphere that exists between the staff, the players, the board, the supporters... We've got a really unified squad and we need to be at 100 per cent if we want to succeed..." explained Olivier Sorlin to explain the recipe that's working s far.

OL got going again with the win over Auxerre. They've won their last four in a row, including Dinamo Zagreb. OL can still climb into the top three before the winter break. Everything is going well for the seven-time French champions... providing they go on with it. It would be the perfect way to celebrate Christmas. It would be great to win the last home game of the year, which hasn't happened since beating Bordeaux in 2001! Les Lyonnais have what it takes, even without Bastos, perhaps Lisandro too. OL has shown its teamwork in the last few outings.

Will Rémi Garde make changes to the side they defeated Lorient? Lisandro, if he's 100 per cent fit and Ederson could be in line for a starting place...

The last for 2011 at the Stade Gerland. It's a chance for the supporters to celebrate their heroes from Zagreb. The most dedicated will then be on the road north to Valenciennes on Wednesday for the last game of the year... Two games... six points... to add to the 32 already... They would make it an average of two points per game! A total in keeping with the season's ambitions... But don't forget, Messieurs, you're not on holidays yet…  and the six points on offer... you need to win them!
