OL's female players thrashed bottom placed Yzeure Allier on Sunday afternoon, at the Plaine des jeux de Gerland.
Three days after their 8-0 success against AZ, in the Champions League, Lyon did it again, imposing a correction on Yzeure Allier. Starting the game well, OL’s women were already 7-0 up at the break before winning 13-0 without any challenge, thanks to hattricks from Sandrine Brétigny and Eugenie Le Sommer, two goals from Lotta Schelin, Shirley Cruz and Amadine Heny, and one goal from Elodie Thomis.
Coach Patrice Lair can be proud of his players: "We were eager to win for Corine Franco, we did it with style. This was a real lesson in football, the public were happy and I'm happy because the team is progressing".
With this fifth win in as many games, the champions of France retain top spot in the championship with 26 goals scored and only one conceded. Montpellier and Paris Saint-Germain, who also won, follow with three less points.
