PSV win but...

It was an easy for for Guus Hiddink's men against Heerenveen. Despite a slow start they eventually ran out 4-1 winners and concerved their 7-point lead over second-placed Feyenoord Rootterdam.

Scorer of a hat-trick in these two sides' first meeting this season, Ivorian Aruna Koné added a two more to his personal tally whileCocu and Alex inflated the score board.
The evening could have been the perfect warm-up for Wednesday's Champions League clash, was it not for the growing injury list. Following Ooijer, victim of a fractured foot, Reiziguer broke his hand and Lamey strained his ankle. Just like Gérard Houllier recently, Guus Hiddink will have to piece together a defence.

PSV: Gomes, Reiziger (Ball 7), Alex, Addo, Lamey (Afellay 52), Culina, Simons, Cocu (cap.), Farfan, Vennegoor of Hesselink (Beasley 81).
