Reactions to the match between OL and Paris St-Germain.
the only criticism I have of my men, who worked and competed hard, is that they sometimes want too much to play moment by moment. Sometimes you have to play against your nature, but we couldn’t do that tonight, and it cost us possession many times.
Hatem Ben Arfa? It was his influence when he came on that allowed us to break the match open.
Cris : It was great to score and help the team to a victory. It was strongly contended match that both teams really wanted to win. Paris played well and put in some good balls, but we didn’t want to settle for a draw. We gave everything to win this match. OL is a team of workers, a team of competitors, and we all pull in the same direction for victory.
Patrice Bergues : An even match with many opportunities. Our team gave its all. They really pushed hard until the very end rather than settling for a draw, and they reaped the rewards.
We expected a tough match, just like the other times we have played them this season.
Jérémy Toulalan : The Parisians thought they could leave with one point but we managed to make the difference in the end. The introduction of Hatem Ben Arfa gave us a real boost. Games against Paris are always intense, just as they are against Marseille, Monaco, l’ASSE…
Grégory Coupet : It was a great match. Paris had a great desire to win but didn’t count on the quality of OL. We went after this victory with guts, in the cold, on a tough pitch.
The refereeing? A referee’s job is far from easy. Refereeing aside, we experienced a great spectacle on the pitch. We produced a great battle and came out on top.
