Check out all the reactions to Olympique Lyonnais’ nil-all draw with the Stade Rennais…

Grégory Coupet : Juninho’s substitution? It’s the fourth dimension here… At the moment the atmosphere is a little special, but we’re not unhappy… we’ve only earned a sixth consecutive national title (laughs)… I for one am very proud. I didn’t have a thing to do this evening and I’m very pleased about it. Our defence was really very string this evening. I’m delighted with this title, with this record that demolishes all the others. I know what it takes to achieve this – it’s hard labour…

Gérard Houllier: Everything is great. We had a contract to get four points from the last two matches… it’s done and we’re champions! If anyone had said we’d be crowned champions six matches before the end of the season… Winning a sixth title is a prodigious achievement. It’s an extraordinary record. We only lost four times in the league. I was a little disappointed by the whistles at the end, but the supporters might also be a little tired… Are we playing poor football? We’re talking about players, not machines. Disappointed by the Champions League? That competition is like playing Russian roulette. We’ll enjoy our next games. I will pay homage to Claudio Caçapa during the last match against Nantes – he deserves it… he’s leaving us, but he’s still our captain…

Jean-Michel Aulas: It was a strange but understandable atmosphere here this evening. The percentages are certainly in our favour but we still need another little point to make it official. Out of respect for our opponents, and for the football, we have to be a little more patient. Tonight we saw a side which was a little tired, but our opponents were too. Rennes defends very well, they pressure all over the park and we were just lacking that little bit of gas to make the difference. So it finished scoreless, as opposed to last year when we lost 4-1. We need to keep working and just wait a little longer…
The journalists think the remaining six games are going to be long for this club, but they underestimate the players and their competitive spirit, you have to respect the players and the fans. It will be brilliant to know that we have six games to play and at the end, we lift the trophy! We will honour this title right to the end. Tonight we have 70 points, look at last season, we didn’t have as many, but the end of season was great. You have to keep on supporting the team and I hope that as of this weekend, we’ll be celebrating with our supporters. There is tiredness, but not just in our team. I think Rennes were lacking a little panache tonight too.
