Real Madrid warmed up perfectly for the visit of Olympique Lyonnais, next Tuesday. On Saturday, Fabio Capello’s side won their second league game in a row, defeating Racing Santander 3-1.

It was Sergio Ramos who put Real on the road to victory (5’), before Reyes doubled the mark (59’). Twenty minutes from the end of the match, Mahamadou Diarra scored his second goal in Madrid’s colours from a Raul cross (70’).

The only black spot on the evening, Garay’s free-kick goal and Guti’s sending-off two minutes from time.
Real Madrid now draw level with Barcelona, who play Real Mallorca on Sunday night. The two favourites for the Liga crown are joint second, two points behind Sevilla.

Real Madrid: Casillas, Roberto Carlos, Cannavaro (Salgado 74), Helguera, Sergio Ramos, Emerson, Guti, Diarra, Van Nistelrooy, Raul, Reyes (Robinho 69’).
