The “Doc” Report

Jean-Jacques Amprino, OL’s doctor, gives an update on the various injuries suffered by OL players.

Sylvain Wiltord: “He is suffering from a 3.5 cm stretch in the back of his right thigh. He felt pain during training at Toulouse. He will be out for 3 to 4 weeks.”

Karim Benzema: “He has a recurring muscle injury where the muscle stretched but didn’t break. It shouldn’t really have recurred, and there are two things to take into account: the injury and the fact that it is recurring. WE are studying his file, but no matter what we will be very prudent with him.”

Juninho: “He is suffering from gastroenteritis. He rested today.”

Alou Diarra: “He trained normally today. There was a bit of a scare with his thigh but he will be just fine.”

Grégory Coupet: “He has been suffering from a stretched rear thigh the last 9 days and is still undergoing treatment. We will know more about his recovery tomorrow night.”

Joan Hartock: “He had an internal meniscus operation on December 22 and is doing just fine. He has resumed training with Robert Duverne, as he has no pain and the knee hasn’t swollen. We are very optimistic.”
