The last round of the Peace Cup

Scorer of the only goal in the victory over Reading, Abelairas Matias was at it again against Shimizu. Thanks to this win, the Millonarios now top group B with a 3-point advantage over both Reading and Olympique Lyonnais.

The teams will be separated on goal difference should they end the group phase equal on points and the Lyonnais know what they need to do to progress: beat River Plate (which would give them a greater goal difference than the Argentines) and hope that Reading doesn’t beat Shimizu by a greater margin at the same time.

This afternoon the first finalist will become known. Bolton, which tops group A, is in a good position, as victory over Racing Santander would secure them a place in the final.
In the other match, Seongnam Ilhwa takes on Chivas Guadalajara.
