OL’s Champions League Group E opponents registered two draws and a win this weekend...

[IMG41155#L]In Spain, Real Madrid were held to a 1-1 draw by Atletico Madrid. Raul equalised in the 38th minute after Mista had opened the scoring. After Week 5, Real are fourth with 11 points. Barcelona and Valencia are the joint leaders of La Liga with 13 points apiece. Djila Diarra and Co have the best defence in the league, tied with Barca, having conceded just two goals.

[IMG41156#L]In Romania, Steaua drew 1-1 with Politehnica Iafi. Dica opened the scoring in the 76th minute with their opponents equalising in the 90th minute. Two players were sent off on each side! Dinamo Bucarest won again and now has a six-point lead at the top of the ladder.

[IMG41157#L]In the Ukraine, Dynamo Kiev won 2-1; goals to Rodolfo (30’) and Shatskih (49’). OL’s next opponents have 23 points after Week 9 but still trail Shakhtar Donetsk, who won 3-1, on goal difference.
