March wrapped up with the Coupe de la Ligue final, a month full of competitions: the league, the Champions League, the Coupe de la Ligue… and for many OL players, internationals… That’s a total of 7 possible matches… Tiago deserves respect…

What a busy March for the Olympians! While some players were used little or not at all by Gérard Houllier, others were flat-chat, with selectors calling them up for international duty as well. Here we rank the Lyonnais in terms of minutes played.

The Portuguese Tiago is at the top of the list with 593 minutes played from a possible total of 630 between March 3 and March 31 (413 out of 450 with OL and 180 with Portugal). In February, of 6 possible matches (5 with OL and 1 with Portugal), the midfielder racked up 246 minutes (3 matches) out of a possible 540 minutes. ON the bottom of the list are Fabio Santos, Berthod and Cacapa who played 0 minutes. Ben Arfa also played 0 minutes for OL but totalled 102 minutes with the France U-23 team. Tiago and Abidal are the only Olympiens to have participated in the best part of all 7 matches.

The rankings:

Tiago 593 (413 + 180)
Abidal 585 (450 + 135)
