OL Women travel to Arras on Saturday (20:45 CET) in the first division as part of the 24 hours of Women in Sport.
What better way for the OL Women's team to celebrate the 24 Hours of Women in Sport in the media? Seven times French champion and twice winners of the Champions League (2011, 2012), Les Lyonnaises have been a leading contributor in the popularity of women in the world's favourite sport. On Saturday (20:45 CET), there trip to Arras will be broadcast live on Eurosport, a great supporter of women's football for a number of season, and who have just extended their deal with the FFF to continue to broadcast the women's first division.
One of the biggest things at stake will be to provide a spectacle that reflects the rapid development of the game in France. The match will take place on the number one training ground at RC Lens' training complex in Avion. Les Lyonnaises will also be looking to bounce back from their 1-0 loss to PSG and maintain their place atop the standings. In the first match between the two sides, Patrice Lair's side struggled to a 3-2 win, finishing a woman down and with Corine Franco in goal.
For this match, the Lyon coach will be without Lotta Schelin, who tore a hamstring in training on Wednesday, and the length of her absence will be known early next week. Sabrina Viguier and Makan Traore will play with the reserves.
