Gent and Valencia both won against lowly-placed sides, which was something Zenit couldn't do, held to a draw.

Zenith 0 - 0 Mordovia Saransk

The Saint Petersburg failed to get the result they wanted in the league. With a slightly injured Hulk, sidelined, they couldn't get the better of relegation-threatened Mordovia Saransk. Zenit saw their run of three straight wins in all competitions ended. A poor result, just days before the side arrives to take on Lyon at the Stade de Gerland in the Champions League...

OH Louvain 0 - 2 La Gantoise

Gent stayed top of the Belgian Pro League with an excellent 2-0 victory away to Louvain. Coulibaly and Dejaegere got the goals for Gent who stay one point ahead of Anderlecht on the ladder.

Valencia 3 - 0 Levante

Valencia made short work of the bottom side in La Liga, beating Levante 3-0 in Week 10 of the season. Alcacer, Feghouli and Bakkali got the goals for an inconsistent FC Valencia side. OL's finall UCL opponent sit seventh in the standings.
