A few days from his 34th birthday, Grégory Coupet will play his 400th Ligue 1 match, almost 13 years after his debut with St-Etienne on March 25 1994. He is ranked 15th among French goalkeepers in terms of matches played…

399 matches played in L1, of which 66 were played with the Greens of St-Etienne. “Greg” began his career with a 2-0 victory (ASSE 2-0 Angers). He played his first league match for OL on January 25 1997 (Montpellier 2-1 OL). His hundredth match, on December 18 1997 was a 1-0 win at Bastia. 200 wins, 13 with ASSE, 100 draws and 98 losses (30 with ASSE).

391 goals conceded: 101 in 66 matches for St-Etienne and 290 in 333 games for OL.

168 matches at Gerland, one of which was with ASSE.

2 complete seasons: 1998-99 (34 matches) and 2001-2002 (34 matches). In 1999-2000, he also played 34 matches, but on one occasion was forced to leave the ground injured.
