League leaders Auxerre visit the Parc des Princes...Bordeaux head to Nancy...OL, at home to Rennes, can take advantage....
OL - STADE RENNAIS
Stade de Gerland
Sochaux – Nice: Nice have won four matches in a row; Sochaux did not play last weekend after two defeats on the trot.
TFC – Boulogne: Toulouse aren’t n as good form as last season, in the image of their striker Gignac. Boulogne, with a game in hand, have taken one point from their last seven matches. It is time for them to wake up if they don’t want too much distance between themselves and the first non relegation spot.
Lorient – Grenoble: Lorient are racking up great performances and find themselves 4th in the table. Grenoble have managed two draws after 11 defeats in a row and need points to keep their hopes of staying up alive. Could they do it at the Moustoir?
Lille – VA: the derby of the North. Valenciennes are in a surprising 6th place and could really give Lille a tough time at their ground, Lille a side that have rarely managed two good results in a row this season.
PSG – AJA: Paris have been largely disappointing since a good month of August. They have not won at the Parc since the end of August! Auxerre have surprised everyone, taking first place in the L1 … after 7 victories in a row and 10 matches without defeat! Unfortunately Jelen will be absent.
Lens – OM: Lens are in better form. After a win at home against Nancy, the team from the north receive OM. An occasion not to be missed. OM, with a game in hand, have caught up with the top teams after their win in the Classico. Superb against Milan in the Champions League, they may have found the right mix.
Nancy – Bordeaux: Nancy, beaten away to Lens, have to bounce back at home to Bordeaux. A Bordeaux side who have lost their last two matches in the league without scoring the slightest goal … a third defeat would put the cat amongst the pigeons!
Le Mans – ASSE: a match between to poorly placed sides, that Le Mans cannot allow themselves to lose, if they do they will slide deeper into the relegation zone. As for Saint-Etienne, they also need points to put some space between them and the bottom of the table …
OL – Rennes: Can OL get back to winning ways at home and perhaps take top spot in the L1? Will Rennes continue their good run of 4 matches without defeat at Gerland?
Monaco – Montpellier (postponed)
