One of two newcomers for the 2018-19 campaign, the French right back who signed from Nantes discussed taking his first steps with OL this preseason.
Training camp in Saillon
« It’s been going well. Today was very intense with three training sessions, but I was expecting that. It's the beginning of the preparation, so it’s normal. But everyone has a good attitude, so that's good.
This week's goals
« The goal is to prepare well this week in Switzerland and then return to Lyon to gradually get stronger with the group. The friendly matches will come fast and quick. I’m trying to understand how the group works so I can blend into the team. During the training sessions I’ve been analyzing how the team plays. »
His first steps in the team
« I feel good in this group. I was hazed earlier this afternoon. It went well. I have good colleagues with me, so it's cool. They helped me get adjusted right away. This is a good sign for the future. I know Lucas Tousart from the French U21 team. Other than him, I didn’t know anyone in the group. Everything is going well for now, I'm happy here. The guys are super nice to me off the pitch, and we’re working to understand each other better on the pitch as well. »
« I can play several positions. I have no problems going up higher on the pitch in training, it's good. Obviously, I prefer to play on the right side because it's my favorite position. If I have to go elsewhere on the pitch, it won’t be a problem. The team comes first. I’ve come to OL with this mindset. »
