Lyon's final training session

Originally scheduled to be open to the press for only the initial 15 minutes, Lyon's final training session ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash against Dynamo Kiev remained open to the media for the entire time at Tola Vologe...

At 17:15, the Lyon coaching staff acompanied by 20 players began a one hour training session which began in the late afternoon light but ended under the floodlights. Claudio Caçapa ran several laps of Tola Vologe.

The goalkeepers trained apart with Joël Bats. After working on their handling of the high ball the two 'keepers worked on coming out at the feet of the attackers and then stopping shots from Bats.

The outfield players began with two laps of the field before joining Robert Duverne for warm-up.
They then worked on passing the ball on the ground and in the air before playing a game trying to get ten passes against another team.

From crosses from Rémi Garde and Joël Bats, John Carew, Sidney Govou, Sylvain Wiltord and Karim Benzema finihsed the session with somevolley practice, while Juninho practiced his long range shooting.
The session ended with stretching.
