Several OL Women players shone brightly with France, the USA, Sweden and Switzerland.
France Women's team once again drew with Brazil (1-1), in their friendly match on Saturday night in Rouen. OL's Deville, Georges, Franco, Necib, Le Sommer and Thomis were starters while Camille Abily came off the bench at the break. After Brazil had taken the lead through Laura Georges' own-goal, Louisa Necib levelled the match with an injury-time spot-kick. Eugenie Le Sommer had missed her penalty shot just minutes earlier.
On Friday in the Cyprus Cup, Lara Dickenmann's Switzerland clinched a draw with the Netherlands thanks to the OL midfielder's goal. In Portugal, Megan Rapinoe also scored as the USA ran out 5-0 winners against China, as did Lotta Schelin as Sweden swept to a 6-1 win over Iceland. Ami Otaki's Japan went down 2-1 to Germany.
