Patrice Lair, Sarah Bouhaddi and Camille Abily attended the press conference, on the eve of the home game against Alkmaar. After their 2-1 victory in the first leg, they go into this last round of 32 match with hunger.

Patrice Lair (manager):
"We approach this match with the mantle favourites, the 2-1 victory in the Netherlands gives us considerable leeway. But the goal conceded still puts us in a difficult situation, we will have to score quickly in the first half to obtain the qualification. The European Cup is really something special, not that the league does not interest us, but we are playing at Gerland in a beautiful stadium, in front of our public, against a team that puts physical impact into their game. I came to Lyon to win this competition".

Sarah Bouhaddi (goalkeeper):
"We started the season with a new coach and some changes in the squad. We had to take our bearings, even if we won everything. When we won at Juvisy on Sunday, I felt we made progress in our defensive positioning, the block of the team, and finishing. This game will be special for me as I have not played at the Stade Gerland yet. Last season, I had returned from injury for the semi-final second leg in Umeå and the final against Potsdam".

Camille Abily (midfielder):
"The Champions League is part of collective and individual objectives, I returned to Lyon to play high level games, I’m looking forward to it. For me, everything is happening as if I had only been gone two weeks, but it's been a year and a half. At Juvisy, I quickly found the automatism with my teammates, it's always nice to play with great players".
