Former Lyon player Maxence Flachez analyses Lyon Week 35 victory away to Nancy:
"It was the perfect victory with the three goals scored. OL stood up to every challenge in this match. It was a massively important win. It was an excellent performance against a side that needed points and have been in really good form lately. The introduction of Bafé [Gomis] was decisive. OL battled hard and showed great cohesion and solidarity...
"The standings? There's no way back for Lille now. The main rival for a place in the top three is Nice now. I don't think Saint-Etienne can catch us now either... It was an excellent weekend for Lyon.
"I really liked the way we won back possession. We worked very hard and pretty high up the pitch. We also got in behind their defence a lot with a good understanding between Benzia and Fofana, who was good supporting the attack. Everyone fulfilled their role and played their part.
"The turning point? The save by Lopes that preserved the lead at 1-0. OL were excellent in the two penalty boxes this evening."
