Check out who said what in the OLTV bus after Lyon's 3-0 away win over Auxerre...

Jimmy Briand
We had to get the disappointment of the Ajax result out of our system. The president had some important words for the squad this evening and the team reacted well. We're very happy to have scored some goals because that's what has been letting us down recently. It's a really good win this evening.

An excellent team win

Michel Bastos

I'm very happy. My injury is in the past now and I feel in good form. For the first goal, I knew Lisandro was on the penalty spot and one of my strengths is to be able to cross hard and strong across the face of goal so I was delighted to help the team out like that. Licha likes me to play on the right. With my goal, I saw I had an option with Jimmy but I felt like the 'keeper was anticipating that. Luckily I scored because otherwise Jimmy would have been pretty angry with me.

Jérémy Berthod (AJA defender)
We conceded an early goal and then we created two or three chances where we could have got back in the game. We maybe could have had a penalty, but that's how it goes. OL also boast the best goalkeeper in France, one of the best in the world. There's nothing to say about the final result. Lyon were better than us. With Lisandro and Bastos in form, Lyon are a different team. We're doing it tough. That makes it five losses in six. We play well for a half of football, but we're too inconsistent. When I'm not playing against Lyon, I still support the club. I hope OL finish in the top three.

It was important to win tonight. This result is great for the whole squad to have won back those three points we dropped against Rennes. I'm very happy to have scored again, but honestly, the most important thing was the victory. The second goal was a really nice goal, and most importantly, it gave the team the confidence to finish out the match.

Bruno Génésio

We knew that the other teams near the top of the table had won yesterday. We knew we had no option but to win tonight because we were coming off four consecutive away defeats. We wanted to prove to ourselves that we could bounce back after two consecutive losses in Ligue 1 and the draw with Ajax. The whole team responded well. We defended well tonight. We went through it all in the final training session behind closed doors and the players did exactly what they were told. We just need to control the game a little better because Auxerrre still created a few chances. It's a great result for the points tally, as well as morale. Hats off in particular to Licha and Michel Bastos. We've really missed these two players recently. We've got some important matches coming up between now and the winter break. We're happy, but we don't have any time to rest on our laurels.
